Standards that mean something.

We keep certification claims attached to the products they actually cover. If a product page does not state a certification, we do not imply that it has one.

GOTS

GOTS certified organic cotton blend

Our sock ranges are made from a GOTS certified organic cotton blend. GOTS — the Global Organic Textile Standard — is the strictest widely recognised standard for organic textiles. It covers organic fibre content, restricted chemical inputs, wastewater treatment and social criteria across the supply chain, and it is verified by independent audit rather than self-declared.

OEKO-TEX

Tested finished fabric

Our organic cotton muslin is OEKO-TEX certified, which means the finished fabric has been tested for substances known to be harmful to human health. For products that spend all day against a newborn’s skin, that matters more than most things.

ORGANIC COTTON

A better starting point.

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and from non-GM seed. It is a meaningfully better starting point than conventional cotton for soil health, water systems and the people who grow and pick it. It is also more expensive, which is the honest reason most baby brands do not use it throughout.

There is more to do.

We are not carbon neutral, we do not currently run a take-back or recycling scheme, and not every product in the range is certified. We would rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. As those things change, this page changes with them.
